The Climber

I challenge the climber, the seeker of goods
To compare his lot with someone who would
Show compassion and care as he travels life’s path
To those less fortunate and to those that hath

taken a tougher road with shortage and needs.
Search not for
wealth but, love, and good deeds.
For the meaning of life is not measured in gold
Tho It will surely bring wealth and fame may unfold

But it clouds the way thru heaven’s gates
So Stop and pray and without debate
Build your stores with kindness then go straight
And Saint Peter, when you pass will shout, “Ahoy Mate.”
